Berry & Spinach Smoothie Bowl Recipe!


 It really doesn't get much more simple, or delicious, than this right here! This berry & spinach smoothie bowl is an excellent way to kick off your day. It's perfect for those of you who don't enjoy a really heavy breakfast, but are still looking to get in a nutrient dense and satisfying breakfast. I know I keep saying "breakfast", but I'm sure you would enjoy it for any meal of the day! It's so fast to throw together, making it a great meal for those on the go or for the kids before they head off to school. 

Here's What You'll Need:

- 1 Banana
- 1 Fist Full Of Spinach (1/2 cup - 1 full cup give or take)
- 3/4 Cup Of Blue Berries (or whatever other berry you enjoy)
- 1-2 tbls Full Fat Coconut Milk 
- Water (you can find that in the tap!)
- Nuts & Seeds For Toppings (Chia, Flax, Pumpkin, Pecans, Almonds, whatever you like!)

Here's How To Put It Together: 

- In a blender add your spinach, banana, berries, and coconut milk
- Add a splash or two of water, just enough that you can blend it into a thick smoothie
- Blend the contents of the blender together until its smooth
- Pour into a bowl
- Sprinkle your favourite toppings on top of the smoothie
- Grab a spoon and enjoy!

Is Eating Gluten Free Making You Fat?



 Gluten is a protein found in most grains that give grain products that chewy and satisfying consistency. Taking on a gluten free diet is popular at the moment for a variety of reasons. The main reason people eliminate gluten from their diet is for digestive and allergic reasons. Lately it seems like everyone and their mother is gluten intolerant! Weather or not all the people who are adopting a gluten free diet are actually gluten intolerant, or just jumping on the band wagon, is an argument for another day! 

 The second reason a lot of people are adopting a gluten free diet is because they believe it will help them lose weight. While it can be effective for helping you lose weight to adopt a gluten free diet, you'll only lose the weight if you're eating the right gluten free foods. Golden Morning Drink





 This drink is quick to make, and loaded with benefits! The main ingredient, turmeric, is a powerful anti inflammatory, anti carcinogen, and anti oxidant.  The secondary ingredient, ginger, is also a powerful anti inflammatory, it's improves immune function, and helps with digestion/nutrient absorption. If you're not using turmeric and ginger in your diet then you're missing out on some serious health benefits. Not only is this "Golden Morning" drink great as a morning "tonic" it's also a great replacement for those who are caffeine sensitive. Which means you can enjoy a nice cup of something that isn't tea or coffee, but might just provide even more benefits! Try drink this each day, take some fish oils and vitamin D along with it, and feel the positive difference in your body in just a few short weeks! 

Here's What You Need:

- 1 tall glass of water
- 1/2 tsp of turmeric
- 1 tsp of ginger juice or 1/2 tsp of powdered ginger
- Juice from half a lemon
- 1 dash of black pepper 
- 1-2 drops of stevia (optional)
- Pinch of cayenne (optional) 

How To Put It Together:

- Mix all the ingredients together in a shaker
- Shake the heck out of it for 20-30 seconds
- Pour into your favourite glass and enjoy!

The Big Problem With Yoga


 I like yoga, I take classes occasionally and I've even become certified as a power yoga instructor. Yoga has a ton of benefits and it complements strength training wonderfully ...
